My transactions are not showing up. What do I do?
It may take up to two minutes for historical transactions to show in TheBooks. Try waiting a couple minutes and then refresh the page. By default, we request 2 years of historical data when you initially link an account. However, certain financial institutions (e.g., Capital One) only give access to several months of data.
Can I add more categories?
Not at this time. The app was designed to include the minimum number of categories necessary to prepare a tax report. Please message me if you have additional category suggestions.
What if I have multiple businesses that each need their own reports?
Create a workspace for each business.
Can I import missing transactions?
Not yet, but this feature is coming.
How do I submit a feature request?
Email matt@thebooks.tax. I'm actively looking to improve functionality.
